Zen Body, 2002 Created from a collaborative back and forth videography and editing session with Stacey Sotosky, Zen Body represents an exploration of intimacy and search for harmony. The piece was inspired in part by the featured song of the piece written and performed by the Japanese band ATP and the featured song in this piece, "Raining in Kyoto." Hidden within the sound design there are also bits of found sound pulled from the BBC news reports broadcast on the day of filming. These audio clips include sounds recorded by the witnesses of the terrorist attacks on 9/11/01 as well as a daily update on the state of relations between Israel and Palestine. |
