This original multimedia performance is a story of balance. Two worlds, the land of Bwight and the land of Color, are thrown into chaos when two rebellious fairies try to leave behind the set ways of their cultures. Shadite flees war struck Bwight at the same moment Lighdow escapes her wing cutting ceremony and the land of Color. Their struggle to find something new destroys everything they know. As the only two survivors they find one another in the chaos. From their joining a world of balance is brought into the light.

This is my first post-undergraduate work created created in collaboration with Stacey Sotosky and LeAnn Brubaker. It was our first full fledged experiment in developing a set of conventions for Performance Cinema. We mix lights, actors, puppets and costumes with cinematic video, atmospheric video, video sets, traditional set design and a full length soundscape. Through the mystical adventures of our two main characters we were able to blend the reality of traditional theatre with the fantasy of technology and the use of live cinema.
