ATRA is a reclamation of the 18th century BCE Akkadian myth of Atra-Hasis. Produced in collaboration with Stacey Sotosky, the larger narrative was surrounded by a ritualistic opening and closing informed by Sotosky's personal relationship with the Catholic Mass and her perspective on spirituality and personal mythologies. Drawing on the conventions built out of our previous work together, we embraced the use of Mask, Ritual, Audio Drama, and Video to create a live performance style we describe as Performance Cinema.
